Random Thoughts on Blogging

This is my first attempt at blogging.  I've heard about it for years and didn't quite understand the appeal.  I guess it is the fact that it is a forum for a person to get their individual thoughts out into the great unknown where they would  otherwise never have their voice heard.

I don't know what the statistics are for blogging but I've no doubt that there are millons of people sharing their thoughts, their take, on this crazy world we live in. Do that many people actually think they have something that every other living soul on this planet needs to know?  I'm certainly not so bold as to think that of myself but it is rather empowering. I mean, think about it.  To be able to put your thoughts out there with the possibility that, with a few key strokes, each and every person in the world would be able to read your ramblings, thoughts, ideas, dreams, railings... Well, as long as they have access to the internet they could!

Heck, I'm not even sure how the internet works...but I'm sure glad Al Gore invented it!  That would put him right up there with the great inventors like Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Edison and George Washington Carver, whom I am sure you all know invented peanut butter.  Where would the Smucker's be without him? I'll tell you where'd they be!  They'd be sitting at home staring at jars and jars of brightly colored, fruit flavored goo.  Who wants jelly without peanut butter?
